Rental Units with Low-Income and Other Eligibility Requirements in Santa Cruz County
This is a comprehensive list of rental units that are designated for low income households that meet certain eligibility requirements. The properties listed offer “below market value” units, which may also be called “affordable” units. This is not a list of all Housing Choice Voucher (also known as Section 8) properties. Each property will have its own eligibility requirements, restrictions and waiting lists. Many of the waiting lists will be closed. The total number of units in a complex may be greater than the number of units that are designated for households with low income or other eligibility qualifications. Contact each property directly via the Manager Phone listed for information about income eligibility, restrictions and wait lists.
Advertising and locating property has never been easier! The Housing Authority has partnered with AffordableHousing, which provides an enhanced program to list rental properties on line. Listings are available to potential Housing Choice Voucher tenants seeking apartment units, duplexes, single-family homes or townhomes in the private market. If you have any questions regarding registering, creating or viewing property listings, please contact the AffordableHousing.com toll free help line at 1-866-466-7328.
It is recommended that Landlords add photos to their listing for better advertising and faster lease up!
The Housing Authority does not charge a fee to participate in the Housing Choice Voucher Program, known as Section 8. This applies to both Tenants and Landlords.
