Join our team and make a meaningful impact by helping low-income families and individuals in our community! The Housing Authority of the County of Santa Cruz is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to serve as our Housing Programs Assistant Director.
In this key leadership role, you will oversee daily operations of the Housing Programs Department, to support staff, and foster innovation and collaboration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage critical programs like Housing Choice Voucher, Project-Based Voucher, and other special initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, supervise, and coordinate housing programs and staff.
- Oversee rental assistance programs, client support initiatives, and landlord/tenant workshops.
- Ensure compliance with HUD regulations, policies, and quality assurance measures.
- Collaborate with other departments, external organizations, and property owners.
- Mentor and train staff, addressing performance issues and fostering professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in housing programs or social services, plus 2 years of administrative or leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, sociology, real estate, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HUD regulations, housing market trends, and community resources.
- Proven leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
Salary Range: $9,504 – $11,002 monthly
